Our doctors are at the forefront of IVF technology, and enjoy a close association with the world’s leading IVF clinics and educators such as Boston IVF and Harvard Medical School.

Most importantly, we are proud of our world-class success rate. More than 60% of our embryo transfers lead to a positive pregnancy result. Many of the couples who have successful outcomes have come to us after exhausting other fertility options, and sometimes even after unsuccessful egg donation treatment elsewhere.

One-to-one donation

Eggs retrieved from the donor in that cycle are used for your treatment only, and are not shared with anyone.

Donor Fertility & Health

All our donors are already mothers – and are between 18 and 34 years old. In addition, all donors undergo stringent tests to ensure their health and suitability.

Identifiable Donors

The donor is identifiable, which means that any child resulting from this treatment will have the right to access identifying information about their donor from the age of 18. However, identifying information about the donor will not be made available to you, the recipient couple.

Why choose an Identifiable Donor?

There are many reasons to choose an identifiable donor. Many families feel that using an identifiable donor allows them to build trust and confidence in their relationship with their child, and ensures that their child need have no doubts about their genetic heritage. This can be important for the child’s sense of identity, but can also be relevant medically and socially.

Who can access the Donor Identity?

It is important to note that in Simply Key ID, the egg donor remains anonymous to the recipient couple. Identifying information about the donor will be provided to Sims at the time of treatment. This includes donor name, date of birth, passport details, and social security number. This information is stored securely and confidentially and only the child resulting from treatment will be able to access it, when they reach adulthood, if they choose.

What rights does the donor have?

The donor will not be provided with any information about you, and will not have any right to access information about any child resulting from the treatment.

Importantly, neither the donor nor the partner of the donor has any claim on or obligation towards any resulting children.

The Streamlined and Affordable Simply Key ID Process

With over 20 years of experience in IVF and 15 in egg donation – significantly more than any other clinic in Ireland – we are able to offer a highly streamlined and affordable programme.

Our process involves only 7 stages, and as few as 2 initial visits to our clinic. Throughout these 7 stages, prospective parents are guided by our dedicated and experienced egg donation specialists.

Stage 1: Consultations:

Meet Your Fertility Specialist
The first step is to meet a Sims IVF Consultant who will help determine if egg donation is the best treatment option for you.

Meet your Egg Donation Coordinator
Your Egg Donation Coordinator is a nurse or midwife with specialist expertise in egg donation, and will provide expert care and support throughout the process. Your coordinator will explain the egg-donation process and ensure that you have a full understanding of what’s involved.

Stage 2: Investigations

Baseline tests
A range of baseline tests are carried out on both partners to help us ensure we provide you with the optimum treatment. These include:

  • Blood tests
  • Uterine Assessment
  • Sperm Assessment
  • Counselling

Implications Counselling
Implications Counselling is a mandatory legal requirement for all couples wishing to avail of egg donation. Our experienced counsellors are familiar with the complex issues and implications involved in infertility treatment.

Stage 3: Consent Signing and Sperm Freezing

Documentation Review
Your Egg Donation Coordinator will review the consent forms with you and answer any further questions that you may have.

In addition, they will ensure you are satisfied with your Recipient Information form, which is used to help select suitable donors.

Semen Freeze
The semen sample is provided. It is tested, frozen, and transported to our partner clinic.

Stage 4: Donor Choice

Choose between 2 egg donors preselected for you based on the data supplied in your Recipient Information Form. A detailed profile of each donor including physical characteristics, education and hobbies will be made available to you.

All donors have proven fertility; they are already mothers.

All donors have been carefully screened to ensure their health and suitability.

Stage 5: Donor Cycle, Fertilization and Embryo Freeze

Our Partner Clinic will arrange the following steps:

  • Donor ovarian stimulation and egg collection
  • ICSI fertilization
  • Embryos grown for 5-6 days (Blastocyst stage)
  • Embryos vitrified (frozen) and transported to Sims in Ireland

Stage 6: Embryo Transfer

In preparation for embryo transfer in Ireland, your IVF Consultant and Egg donation Coordinator will advise you regarding a medication regime to prepare your uterine lining for embryo transfer. Fertility ultrasound monitoring will be provided throughout this process.

The Embryos are transferred by a Sims IVF Consultant in our embryo transfer suite.

Hormone and support medications will continue  into early pregnancy.

Stage 7: Outcome

12 days after transfer, a pregnancy test is provided.
