Outline of the Process

  • Initial Consultation with Fertility Specialist and meeting with Egg Donor Coordinator – Counselling, ultrasound scan, screening blood tests and semen analysis/semen freeze (some elements of this may be able to be carried out by your local IVF Clinic).

  • Consent forms completed - Appropriate consent forms must be completed prior to the start of a treatment cycle.

  • Donor Selection – the programme coordinator will provide  you with the list of Donors  from which you chose the Donor that is an appropriate match.

  • Frozen Semen goes over to Intersono.

  • Donor’s eggs are aspirated, fertilized with the frozen semen and the resulting fertilized eggs are frozen.

  • The fertilized eggs return to Sims Clinic.

  • Recipient starts treatment - Embryo Transfer at Sims Clinic.
